Jim Douglas, Nebraska Game and Parks director (left), is presented with an award of gratitude from the NFTA secretary Jim Douglass.

The Nebraska Field Trial Association (NFTA) honored Director Jim Douglas with an honorary plaque to celebrate his 47 years of service to the State of Nebraska and the sport of field trialing. This award was presented at the Annual Field Trial Dog of the Year/NFTA Summer Meeting on July 24. In addition to the plaque presented to Jim, another plaque honoring the director will be permanently on display at the Field Trial Cabin located on the Chet McClain/Branched Oak Field Trial Grounds. “Because of the tireless efforts of Mr. Douglas, members of the Nebraska Game and Parks and the NFTA, Nebraska has a first-class, nationally-acclaimed venue to host both national and regional championships and local field trials," said Jim Douglass secretary of the NFTA (pictured above to the right of Director Jim Douglas.)
